Jayne Hull Appointed Assistant Manager

I’m pleased to announce the hiring of Jayne Hull as Assistant Manager at TheEDGEBANK. Jayne previously worked at GCS Federal Credit Union and Anheuser-Busch Credit Union in St. Louis. She brings a vast array of experience and knowledge to TheEDGEBANK and we are pleased to have her heading up our Teller and Customer Service Departments. Jayne is a graduate of Edwardsville Sr. High School and currently resides in Granite City with her husband Tony and daughter Lucy. TheEDGEBANK & Lipe Tennis Academy Win Award
The Edwardsville Adult Open, hosted by TheEDGEBANK, won the "2008 Adult Tennis Tournament of the Year." The award was presented by the St. Louis District Tennis Association.
"To win Tournament of the Year is a tremendous honor," said Dave Lipe , Director of Lipe Tennis Academy, who presented the tournament. "We couldn't have put on such a well-received event without the support of our presenting sponsor, TheEDGEBANK."
Nearly 100 players participated in the tournament, which was held June 13-15 at various sites in Edwardsville.
"Winning this award is a great achievement and it was a pleasure to work closely with the Lipe Tennis Academy ," said Kent Weber, President, TheEDGEBANK. "We are looking forward to working with the Lipe Tennis Academy for this year's event and hope this is the first of many awards for the partnership."

5th Annual Edwardsville Open Tennis Tournament Another Success
Jul. 1, 2009 – The 5th Annual Edwardsville Open Tennis Tournament, hosted by TheEDGEBANK, was another success for the St. Louis area tennis community. The tournament, which is an integral fundraiser for the Edwardsville High School men’s and women’s tennis teams, was held June 13-15 at Edwardsville High School and Liberty Middle School.
“Last year’s tournament was a tough act to follow,” said Dave Lipe, the tournament’s director. “2008 was terrific, but 2009 was bigger and stronger. Open-level participants played for a record $1,500 and the level of competition in all categories was at an all-time high.”
In all, 207 entrants participated in the annual tournament which featured men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles and mixed doubles with 3.5, open, 35-and-older and 45-and-older divisions.
TheEDGEBANK would like to thank Dave Lipe for putting on yet another fantastic event and we would also like to congratulate all of this year’s tournament winners:

May 19, 2009 - EDWARDSVILLE - The 2009 Edwardsville Open tennis tournament, hosted by TheEDGEBANK, will be held June 13-15 at Edwardsville High School and Liberty Middle School . There will be men's and women's singles, doubles and mixed doubles with A, open, 35 and 45 divisions.
The entry fee is $18 for singles and $36 for doubles. The deadline for entries is 5 p.m., Monday, June 8.

Send entries to Dave Lipe , Tournament Director, 6161 Center Grove Rd. , Edwardsville , IL 62025 or fax entries to 618-656-2627. Players can also register at www.usta.com. The USTA tournament ID is 404904209. Make checks payable to EHS Tennis. Refunds will not be given after the draw is complete.
"Once again, we are thrilled about being involved with The Edwardsville Open," said Kent Weber, President of TheEDGEBANK. "Last year's event was such a rousing success that we approached the tournament director, Dave Lipe , about increasing the level of our sponsorship and in-turn the prize money associated with the tournament."
Prize money will be awarded in the Open divisions and will be proportionate to draw size.
"I feel this is one of the better tournaments in the area," said Lipe, who is boys and girls tennis coach at Edwardsville High School and Director of the Lipe Tennis Academy . "This event gives players of all ages and skill levels a chance to compete in a tournament setting."
TheEDGEBANK Ad Wins Local Draw-An-Ad Contest
Congratulations to Wyatt Engeman, who recently won the Edwardsville Intelligencer’s 2009 Draw-an-Ad Contest. Wyatt is a third grade student at Worden Elementary School and he was presented with $50.00 cash from the Edwardsville Intelligencer as the contest’s grand prize
winner. Wyatt’s parents are Jim & Caroline Engeman. Pictured at right is Wyatt posing with TheEDGEBANK’s Branch Manager, Tanner Alexander. Wyatt explained that it took him approximately 4 hours over multiple days to complete his prize winning ad pictured below
